Are you drinking enough water? 🤔
Proper hydration is crucial for our bodies to perform optimally 💪🏻🧠 we should all be drinking 8-10 glasses of water a day! If you are already achieving this then fantastic 👏🏻😊 if not here are my tips to help you top up your fluid intake👇🏻
🥤fill a reusable water bottle and refrigerate overnight for use the next day
💧try to drink a glass of water with every meal & snack
🚰 no need to buy expensive bottled water, tap water is perfect
🥒 add slices of cucumber or citrus fruits to your water for a different taste
🍊 include water rich fruits such as oranges, grapes & melon and crushed ice in smoothies to increase water content
☕️Water in drinks such as tea, coffee & fruit juice also contributes to our fluid intake, just be mindful of the caffeine & sugar content and drink these in moderation
🍷if you drink alcohol its diuretic effect may cause your body to become dehydrated, drinking water or soft drinks alongside will help to prevent this
🧠 hunger can often be confused with thirst, try to tune into your thirst cues and take a drink before reaching for a snack
😅 drink more when exercising as requirements increase due to the additional losses through sweat
