Nutrition Tips: Sustainable Seafood
Ensuring you choose sustainable seafood is vital to protect fish stocks for future generations & helps to keep our oceans healthy. Look out for the @mscintheuk certified sustainable logo on packs to identify products containing seafood that is produced sustainably.
The UK guidelines recommend we eat two portions of fish each week one of which should be oily (salmon, mackerel, sardines, anchovy, herring).
White fish is also a great source of lean protein and oily fish contains essential, heart healthy omega-3 polyunsaturated fats that cannot be made in the body so must be included in our diet.
